Don’t Count Your Chickens Before They Hatch?

Yep, it’s smart to not count your chicks before that hatch!

A special code (ha, it’s only special to me because I made it up) has been marked on each egg with the hens they came from and the day they were layed.

Well, this evening, Buffalo Feathers Farm set almost 70 eggs in an incubator (thanks Levi Keel)! They are eggs from our Lakenvelder hens, Cochin and Frizzle hens, and some from Brahmas, Game, Barred Rock, Polish, and White Leghorns.

The eggs take 21 days to hatch and that puts them around due around November 20.

Stay tuned for some fuzzy cuties coming soon!
